Saida Municipality announces the completion of the first phase of distributing in-kind assistance to displaced families residing within residential homes in the city’s administrative area, who had registered through the designated platform during the past month.The municipality distributed 3,833 aid packages, out of a total of 5,475 applications submitted via the platform. It clarifies that the discrepancy in numbers is due to several cases found to be non-compliant with the approved criteria, including applicants residing outside the administrative boundaries of Saida Municipality (within or outside the Union of Municipalities), duplicate registrations under different names within the same family, and applications from non-displaced individuals, among other issues.In addition, 701 eligible applications were identified; however, their applicants did not proceed to collect their allocated aid packages despite receiving SMS notifications specifying collection dates and locations. These cases will be followed up in a later phase.Saida Municipality extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of this campaign and the provision of food assistance, particularly the South Council, Qatar Charity, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Iraq.The municipality also highly commends the tremendous efforts of the volunteer team, which supported the distribution process with dedication and commitment, under the direct supervision and close follow-up of Municipal Council Member Eng. Mustafa Al-Bizri, who managed the operation with high professionalism to ensure transparency and that assistance reached its rightful beneficiaries.In parallel, and as part of its comprehensive relief plan, Saida Municipality announces that it will soon begin distributing assistance to underprivileged families among the residents of Saida (registered in the civil registry).
