The Mayor of Saida, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, accompanied by Vice Mayor Dr. Ahmad Akra and municipal council members Majed Abdel Jawad, Rami Bashasha, Wael Kassem, Hassan El Zaatari, and Ahmad Chouaib, as well as the Director of the Disaster and Crisis Risk Management Cell, Wafaa Chouaib, conducted an inspection tour of the shelter center at the Omani School in the city.

During the tour, the delegation was briefed by the school principal, Sheikh Houzaifa Al-Mallah, and the center's head, Tarek Hlayhel, on the current status of the center, the basic needs of the displaced persons and their availability, as well as the most prominent shortages and requirements at various levels.

The delegation also met with a number of displaced residents staying at the center and listened directly to their conditions and living circumstances. It was emphasized that Saida Municipality, in cooperation with relevant authorities and local NGOs, will continue to intensify efforts to secure the means of resilience and basic humanitarian needs, ensuring the proper management of shelter centers and providing decent conditions for the displaced during this critical phase.
