Saida Municipality Receives Medical Donation from the Order of Pharmacists and Fattal Group to Support Shelter Centers, and Discusses Health Cooperation

Mayor Eng. Mustafa Hijazi received a delegation from the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon, headed by Board Member Dr. Wissam Baassiri, during which the municipality received a medical donation provided by the Order, with the support of Fattal Group, dedicated to supporting displaced families in shelter centers across the city.The meeting was attended by Municipal Council Member Wael Kassab, Head of the Disaster and Crisis Risk Management Unit Ms. Wafaa Choueib, and member of the Municipality’s Health Committee Ms. Amani Abu Zeinab. The delegation of the Order included, in addition to Dr. Baassiri, pharmacists Rafah Matbouli, Riham Natout, and Ronin Mardasah, as well as the Order’s media advisor, journalist Hanan Naddaf.The donation comes as part of the humanitarian and health initiatives led by the Order of Pharmacists to provide urgent medical needs for displaced persons. It included blood glucose monitoring devices along with their testing supplies and strips.The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the overall situation and the ongoing challenges resulting from the displacement crisis in Saida. Participants further explored ways to strengthen coordination and ongoing cooperation with the Order of Pharmacists to secure essential medicines and medical supplies, ensuring better healthcare for displaced families and alleviating their hardship.At the conclusion of the meeting, Mayor Eng. Mustafa Hijazi extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon and to Fattal Group for this generous humanitarian gesture, stressing that the synergy between professional syndicates and municipal work represents a key pillar in strengthening community resilience in times of crisis.
