As part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness among younger generations, the Environmental Committee of Saida Municipality welcomed fifth-grade students from Rafic Hariri High School to an awareness session highlighting the importance of the marine environment and ways to protect it. The students' visit was part of a school project on the marine environment. The school contacted the Environmental Committee to benefit from its expertise in this field and to provide students with the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the state of the sea in Saida and the environmental challenges it faces. The session featured an informative and accessible presentation on the marine life, particularly pollution resulting from waste disposal and harmful practices that negatively affect the environment and public health. The meeting witnessed active engagement from the students, who asked numerous questions and demonstrated a strong interest in environmental issues. Members of the Environmental Committee emphasized the important role of students and the wider community in protecting the sea is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all, with the aim of strengthening
