Sidon Municipality - Media Office  

Continuing the relief plan to support the people of the city, which Sidon Municipality set up with the Disaster and Crisis Management Room in South Lebanon Governorate, today, Saturday 23-5-2026, the fourth batch of aid designated for the residents of Sidon was distributed at the "Rafic Hariri Sports City" (Municipal Stadium) by the Humanitarian Cooperation Association, under the supervision of the High Relief Committee and the South Lebanon Governorate (Disaster and Crisis Management Room).  

Accompanying the distribution on behalf of Sidon Municipality were municipal council members Bara Hariri, Majed Abdel Jawad, Rami  Bshasha, Hisham Hashisho, Mustafa Bazri, Khaled  Affara, Ahmed Shuaib, and the Director of the Disaster and Crisis Cell Wafaa Shuaib. From the Humanitarian Cooperation Association, the distribution was attended by its director Dr. Fadi  Chamieh, the association's president Mohamed Abdel Aal, and the association's team and volunteers. 

This phase included the distribution of 1,000 food baskets, which is the fourth and final batch out of 4,000 portions allocated for the people of Sidon through the Humanitarian Cooperation Association. The number of residents registered via the electronic form exceeded 7,500 people, and the distribution will continue after Eid al-Adha in cooperation with local associations. And new international. The organization was supervised on the ground by municipal council member Engineer Mustafa Al-Bazri, with the participation of Sidon Municipal Police, the municipality's volunteer team, Lebanese University students, and the Scouts of Lebanon's Future.
