Under the patronage of Saida Municipality, Al-Jinan University – Saida Branch launched its supported educational program, “Your Dreams Will Not Be Delayed,” dedicated to empowering and strengthening students preparing for official examinations from among displaced families. The initiative is being implemented in cooperation and coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the Union of Bint Jbeil Municipalities The first day of the program commenced with the participation of representatives from the organizing and partner institutions, as well as Mr. Hisham Jradi, Head of the Education and Culture Committee of Saida Municipal Council. The event attracted approximately 300 students from Saida, Jezzine, the villages east of Saida, Chhim, Barja, and various other displacement areas.Participating students immediately began benefiting from comprehensive free academic support classes supervised by a distinguished team of specialized teachers in core subjects. The program aims to compensate for educational losses resulting from current circumstances and to ensure students are fully prepared for their official examinations. The initiative is further supported by university student volunteers from various faculties, who provide logistical and guidance assistance.On this occasion, Mr. Hisham Jradi praised the initiative, describing it as a distinguished humanitarian and educational effort. He emphasized that the municipality’s sponsorship of the program stems from its national and social responsibility toward displaced students and those steadfastly pursuing their education, ensuring that they do not lose an academic year and that their educational future remains protected regardless of circumstances.For its part, the administration of Al-Jinan University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Branch Secretariat, explained that the program is fully aligned with the university’s educational and community mission. It represents a practical and fruitful example of the strong partnership between academic institutions, municipalities, and international supporting organizations in serving the most vulnerable groups during these challenging times.It is worth noting that the “Your Dreams Will Not Be Delayed” program will continue to provide its services free of charge on a daily basis until the official examination period. In addition to academic tutoring, the program offers comprehensive logistical support, including stationery, textbooks, and light meals for students, ensuring a supportive, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment that helps them focus, excel, and achieve their educational goals.
