The President of the Union of Saida - Zahrani Municipalities, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, and the Mayor of Hilaliyah, Mr. Michel Abu Zeid, inspected the site of the Israeli aggression that targeted at dawn today a residential building in Al-Qiya'ah area, and led to a horrific massacre against safe civilians.

Participated in the inspection tour the municipal council members of Saida Municipality, Mohammad Dandashli, Baraa Al-Hariri, Hisham Hashisho, and Ahmad Shuaib, alongside Hilaliyah municipal council member, Elie Nassar, and engineering, emergency, and municipal police teams.

The municipal delegation checked the scale of destruction resulting from the airstrike, which resulted, according to an initial toll, in the ascension of five martyrs including two women, and the injury of 21 wounded including five children, who were all transferred to the area's hospitals to receive treatment.

During the field tour, the two mayors gave their directives to the technical and engineering emergency workshops to immediately begin opening the roads and removing the accumulated rubble in the surrounding streets, and to work on restoring the electric current in urgent coordination with the technical teams belonging to the Électricité du Liban institution and generator owners, to repair the damaged networks and restore supply to the surrounding houses as quickly as possible.

President Hijazi also communicated with the Council of the South, where it was agreed to send specialized technical inspection teams to assess the scale of material and structural damages that afflicted the targeted building and neighboring buildings and cars, in preparation for taking the necessary legal and relief measures.

The mayors and members of Saida and Hilaliyah municipalities condemned this heinous aggression that targets civilians deep within residential areas, emphasizing that these continuous massacres will not undermine the steadfastness of the area's people and their solidarity, and extending deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, asking Almighty God for a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.
