The Struggle for Humanity Association, in cooperation with the Social Committee of Sidon Municipality, organized a special meeting on the dangers of social media for children, students, and society. The meeting was attended by Sidon MPs Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bizri and Dr. Osama Saad, Head of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee MP Dr. Michel Moussa, representative of Mrs. Bahia Hariri Dr. Osama Arnaout, representative of the Internal Security Forces Major Hussein Shahan, representative of Al-Hilaliyah Municipality Mrs. Hana Abu Marai, President of the Struggle for Humanity Association Mrs. Rima Saliba, and the association's Programs Coordinator Mr. Abdul Badi' Al-Dada.

During the meeting, the dangers of social media in general were discussed, and ways to take steps, establish regulations, and enact specific laws to mitigate its negative effects on children were explored. Attendees expressed their interest in cooperation and continued coordination, each within their respective roles and positions, to develop practical recommendations in this area. These recommendations will be submitted to the relevant authorities to bring about positive social change. This meeting will be followed by subsequent meetings to monitor the implementation of these recommendations.
