On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the martyrdom of the national icon Maarouf Saad, the Municipality of Saida hung a series of banners at the entrance of the municipality, Martyrs' Square, and various main streets and public squares, under the slogan: "51 Years, Our Path is Known... A Story of Struggle That Time Cannot Erase." On this occasion, the Municipality of Saida recalls the achievements of the great martyr, his national role, and his special place in the hearts of all Lebanese people in general, and the people of Saida in particular. They view this anniversary as a unifying national milestone to reaffirm the constants he sought to achieve in strengthening Lebanon's resistance and Arab identity, and fighting for the rights of workers and laborers. Hanging these banners in the city's streets is not merely an annual tradition or a simple reminder of Maarouf Saad—as his memory is permanently engraved in people's hearts. Rather, it is an invocation of his journey and approach, which represent the core spirit of Saida and its history in defending social, economic, and national rights.
