The mayor of Sidon and the "Mohammed Zeidan for Development" association conducted an inspection tour of the restoration and lighting projects in the old city.

The Muncipality  of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, accompanied by members of the municipal council, Angie Atruni, Wael Qasab, Youssef Ta'meh, Hisham Hashisho, Rami Bashasha, and Ahmad Shuaib, conducted an extensive field tour of the old neighborhoods of Sidon. During the tour, they inspected the progress of the restoration and lighting work being carried out by the "Mohammed Zeidan Development Association."

They were received by the head of the association, Mrs. Farah Zeidan, accompanied by association members Ziad Zeidan, Rania Zeidan, Firas Zeidan, and Salah Qabarsali. The tour included various sites recently restored and illuminated by the association (Bab al-Saraya Square, the Carpenters' Market, the Weavers' Market, Al-Sabil Quarter, Al-Ma'dhaneh Quarter, the Gold Market, and Abu Nakhla Alley). The municipality was briefed by the association's president and members on the details of the completed work and the occasional difficulties encountered during the restoration process. These difficulties are being addressed comprehensively to ensure the safety of the buildings and showcase their architectural and heritage beauty, in accordance with the association's overall plan. At the conclusion of the tour, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi affirmed, "What we are witnessing today in the alleyways of Old Sidon is a model of exemplary cooperation between civil society and local authorities. These restoration and lighting achievements not only preserve our heritage and historical identity but also revitalize the city's economic and tourism sectors, providing a safe and beautiful environment for our residents. We highly value the tremendous efforts exerted by the Mohammed Zeidan Development Association to showcase Sidon's cultural heritage."

For her part, the association's president, Mrs. Farah Zeidan, emphasized the importance of the partnership with the municipality to ensure the sustainability of projects, stating, "We believe that integration between the association and the Municipality of Sidon is the cornerstone of any successful development plan. Our tour today aims to reaffirm and enhance this cooperation. Our commitment to Sidon and its people, to showcasing its cultural heritage, and to improving its economic and tourism sectors, motivates us to continue restoring the remaining sites, ensuring that the Old City remains a beacon that blends the richness of history with the demands of modernity."
