Statement issued by Sidon Municipality regarding the use of the municipal logo

Recently, it has been observed that some news websites and social media pages have been including the logo of Sidon Municipality in their designs and reports, in a way that may give readers the impression that these materials are officially issued by the municipality, while in fact they bear no relation to any official statement or position issued by it.

Accordingly, Sidon Municipality affirms the following:

• The use of the Sidon Municipality logo in any media material, advertisement, or design is strictly prohibited unless it is officially issued by the Media Office or authorized in writing in advance.
• Any unauthorized use of the municipal logo is considered misleading to the public and exposes the responsible party to legal accountability.
• The only official source for statements and positions issued by Sidon Municipality is what is published through its approved official platforms or directly distributed by the Media Office.The municipality calls on all media outlets and activists to adhere to professional standards, exercise accuracy and responsibility, and communicate with the relevant municipal authorities before publishing any information related to the city or its institutions, in order to preserve transparency and the public interest.The municipality also confirms that it will take appropriate action against any future violations, in order to protect the integrity of the institution and the public’s right to accurate and reliable information.
