Once again, the brutal Israeli aggression targets the city of Sidon, and this time it's the 'Maqased Building,' in a new crime added to the series of blatant violations of international laws that prohibit targeting civilian properties and humanitarian facilities. 

The Municipality of Sidon, while presenting this attack to the international community and human rights organizations, emphasizes that the nature of the targeted building is purely civilian. It houses the administrative offices of the Islamic Charitable Maqased Association, offices for a group of lawyers and engineers, medical clinics, as well as a vital center for Lebanese Red Cross volunteers who tirelessly serve humanity day and night. 

Therefore, based on field data, the municipality affirms that the targeted building is completely free of any military or partisan presence, and that targeting it is a clear attempt to undermine the foundations of civil and humanitarian resilience in the capital of the south. 

We thank God Almighty for the safety of the human staff and volunteers who were present in the building, and we pray for mercy upon the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the wounded. 

The Municipality of Sidon, which today stands united with the 'Maqased Association,' the 'Red Cross,' and all civil institutions in the city, confirms that these assaults will not .It discourages Sidon from carrying out its national and humanitarian role towards its people and the displaced who have come to it. The municipality announces that its technical teams will start clearing the rubble and opening the road as soon as they receive a signal from the security authorities.
