The Mayor of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, accompanied by members of the municipal council Khaled Afara, Majed Abdel Jawad, Mohammad Shamas, Wael Qasab, Rami Bashasha, and Ahmad Shuaib, conducted an inspection tour of the site of the treacherous Israeli aggression that targeted the Ain al-Hilweh camp. The purpose of the tour was to assess the extent of the damage inflicted on homes and property and to check on the well-being of the residents in this densely populated area.

The delegation inspected the extensive damage caused by the airstrike, met with residents, and then proceeded to the government hospital to visit the wounded members of the Afara family and inquire about their health after the airstrike hit their home. Following this, they visited the Zaatari Secondary School, which is sheltering displaced people, to reassure them and inquire about their situation, especially since the airstrike occurred in close proximity to them. In a statement from the heart of the targeted area, Engineer Hijazi strongly condemned this blatant attack, saying: "Targeting the Ain al-Hilweh reconstruction area, a densely populated residential area full of innocent civilians, is a new chapter in Israel's criminality, which makes no distinction between people and buildings. This aggression disregards all international laws that protect civilians."

Engineer Hijazi also instructed municipal crews to cooperate with the Civil Defense to remove the rubble, facilitate traffic flow, and secure areas that may pose a risk to public safety due to the cracks, starting tomorrow morning.
