The Municipality of Sidon, headed by Mayor Mustafa Hijazi, expressed its gratitude to the Rotary Club of Sidon, represented by its President, Mr. Sami Ghaddar, and to Rajab Al-Jubaili Agricultural Company, represented by its CEO, Mr. Ali Samih Wahbi, and to the CG Fund - Lebanon, represented by its President, Mr. Maher Al-Jubaili, in appreciation of their outstanding initiatives in maintaining and equipping shelters for displaced persons in the city and its surrounding areas.

Key contributions and projects included in the work report:

 Club of Sidon

- The Rotary Club of Sidon completed the inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation of four shelters: Marjan School, Nazih Al-Bizri High School (Building 1), Al-Islah First School, and Dar Al-Yateem Al-Arabi School.

- "Mega Project": A major project has commenced at Nazih Al-Bizri High School (Sections A and B), which includes the installation of solar water heaters and a complete overhaul of the water and sewage networks, with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Partnership with the Jbeili Foundation for Agriculture:

- Initiating the equipping and maintenance of 9 sites, including the faculties of the Lebanese University (Law, Sciences, and Arts), Al-Zaatari High School, Mars Al-Islah II, Maarouf Saad, the Vocational Technical School, Al-Rashidiyah, and Akka.

Mr. Ali Samih Wahbi

Mr. Wahbi, in his personal capacity and at his own expense, also sponsored the Sidon Public Intermediate School, providing it with hot water, mattresses, blankets, pillows, a large refrigerator, and a gas stove. Additionally, 250 hot meals consisting of soup, salad, and a daily dish are being provided in a manner that prioritizes public health. Cleaning staff are also being provided, along with regular maintenance for the school.CG Fund - Lebanon Strategic Initiatives:-Maintaining the solar energy system at the Omani School and installing new batteries to ensure a continuous power supply.- Working in 4 public schools accommodating approximately 2,300 displaced persons in the Sidon area and surroundings (Al-Ghaziyeh High School and Intermediate School, Hara Sidon Intermediate School, and Joun School). The Municipality of Sidon affirms that these efforts, which included securing water and alternative energy and rehabilitating infrastructure, reflect the spirit of national solidarity and contribute effectively to alleviating the suffering of our displaced people and ensuring a dignified and safe living environment for them.
