Sidon Municipality Begins Removal of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Branch Signage and Evacuation of Its Contents in Coordination with the Lebanese Army and the Mechanism Committee

Sidon Municipality – Media OfficeIn light of the current security circumstances and as part of its ongoing monitoring of developments in the city of Sidon, Sidon Municipality coordinated with the competent security authorities regarding the branch of Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association located on Riyad Al-Solh Street. This action was taken due to the possibility that the building could be considered among sites potentially subject to targeting amid the ongoing security developments, and the resulting risks this may pose to public safety in an area characterized by high residential and commercial density.As part of field follow-up efforts and joint coordination with the relevant authorities, the Lebanese Army Command, and the Mechanism Committee, the branch’s signboard on Riyad Al-Solh Street was removed today. Coordination was also carried out to evacuate the floor occupied by the branch and remove its contents.This measure comes as a precautionary step aimed at reducing potential risks, organizing the situation on the ground, and monitoring the security conditions of the building and its surroundings in a manner that contributes to protecting citizens as well as public and private property.In this context, Sidon Municipality reaffirms its constant commitment to the stability of the city and the safety of its residents, and its continued coordination and cooperation with various military and security institutions to implement the necessary preventive measures to preserve security and public safety throughout the city.
