Hijazi, Akra and members of the municipal council continue their inspection tours: a night visit to the "Maarouf Saad Intermediate School" and "Kuwaiti School" shelters.

As part of the daily and on-the-ground monitoring of relief efforts and the conditions of shelters, the Mayor of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, and Deputy Mayor, Dr. Ahmed Akra, accompanied by a delegation of municipal council members Khaled Afara, Baraa Hariri, Wael Qasab, Majed Abdel Jawad, Ahmed Shuaib, and the Director of the Disaster and Crisis Risk Management Room, Wafaa Shuaib, conducted an inspection tour of the shelters at the Maarouf Saad Public Intermediate School and the Kuwaiti School.This visit is part of the municipality's plan to assess the readiness of the centers, some of which have recently undergone maintenance and equipping in cooperation with local and international partners. At both centers, the municipal delegation reviewed the results of the completed preparation and maintenance work. They also inspected the school facilities to ensure their suitability for the needs of the resident families. The delegation examined the centers' warehouses and the available supplies, listening to supervisors explain the daily challenges they face. They met with residents, listened to their living conditions and the availability of basic necessities, and documented all field observations for immediate action in coordination with relevant organizations.During the tour, Hijazi stated, "We are closely monitoring all shortcomings. The municipal council's directives to the Disaster and Crisis Management Room are clear: a rapid response is required to address any shortages in water, energy, or relief supplies. We will spare no effort to strengthen the resilience of the shelters and enhance their capacity and services."
