Engineer Mustafa Hijazi discusses the needs of shelters with pharmacist Dr. Omar Marjan, head of the "Human of Tomorrow" Association and the Marjan Charitable Foundation.

The Municipility of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, received Dr. Omar Marjan, head of the "Insan Al-Ghad" Association and the "Marjan Charitable Foundation," along with a delegation from the association, at his office in the Municipal Palace. The meeting was held to coordinate relief efforts to support displaced persons in the city.Also present were Municipal Council members Baraa Hariri and Mohammad Shamas, and the Director of the Municipality's Disaster and Crisis Risk Management Unit, Ms. Wafaa Shuaib.During the meeting, Engineer Hijazi commended Dr. Marjan's previous initiatives, which included providing first aid supplies and medical equipment to several shelters. A detailed presentation of the current situation in the shelters was given, with Hijazi informing the delegation of the urgent needs requiring a rapid response. These included personal hygiene supplies, milk and diapers for children and infants, and the provision of partitions to divide the large halls, allowing for increased capacity and the accommodation of additional displaced persons while preserving the privacy of families. For his part, Dr. Marjan expressed his full understanding of the immense pressure the municipality is facing, promising to follow up on these demands through the "Insan Al-Ghad Association" and the "Marjan Charitable Foundation" to secure as many of these necessities as possible as soon as possible.At the conclusion of the meeting, Engineer Hijazi thanked Marjan and the accompanying delegation, emphasizing that "the solidarity of Sidon's residents and its charitable institutions is the fundamental guarantee for strengthening the resilience of the city and our guests in these difficult circumstances."
