Sidon Municipality has released the updated statistical report on displacement in the approved shelters within the city, covering the period from March 2 to March 25, 2026. The latest data indicates stability in the number of displaced persons accommodated in the shelters compared to the previous assessment. The figures are as follows: First: Number of Displaced Persons and Shelters - Number of shelter centers: 26 shelters. - Total number of displaced people: 13,214 individuals. - Remaining shelter capacity: 31.89%. Second: Needs Coverage Indicators Coverage rates have shown a positive increase compared to the previous report, reflecting the success of coordination efforts between the municipality and its partners: - Food assistance coverage (one meal only): 94.99%. - Infant formula and diapers coverage: 90.51%. - Hygiene supplies coverage: improved to 43.69% (up from approximately 34%). - Essential supplies coverage: remained stable at 73.14%. Third: Field Assessment ,The Crisis Management Cell noted that achieving more than 90% coverage for children's needs, including infant formula, represents a significant accomplishment at this stage. However, efforts in the coming days will continue to focus on increasing the coverage of hygiene supplies, which remains below 50%, in order to ensure adequate health protection within the crowded shelters. Attention will also be directed toward strengthening food assistance, as current coverage levels are expected to decline if the number of daily meals provided increases beyond one meal per day.
