Under the Supervision of Sidon Municipality: The State of Qatar, through the Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity, Extends Support to Displaced Families in Sidon through the Distribution of Food and Shelter Assistance.

As part of the urgent humanitarian response to support displaced families in the city of Sidon, a large-scale relief distribution operation for displaced households residing within Sidon was completed at the Sidon Municipal Stadium. This round of assistance was provided by the sisterly State of Qatar, funded by the Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity in Doha, and carried out in full coordination with the Sidon Municipality Operations Room. The distribution process was supervised on behalf of Sidon Municipality by Municipal Council member Engineer Mustafa El-Bizri, and on behalf of Qatar Charity by its Lebanon Office Director, Mr. Mohammad Zahra. In a statement, Mr. Zahra explained that this initiative was designed to address the urgent and essential needs of displaced families in a comprehensive manner. He noted that each family received two food parcels, a complete hygiene kit, and basic shelter supplies including three mattresses, three pillows, and three blankets per family. Mr. Zahra added: "These aid packages are a humanitarian and brotherly duty from Qatar toward the Lebanese people during these difficult circumstances. Through our cooperation with Sidon Municipality, we aim to secure the minimum requirements for resilience and a dignified life for families who have been forced to leave their homes." For his part, Sidon Mayor Engineer Mustafa Hijazi expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the State of Qatar—its Emir, government, and people—as well as to the donor and implementing organizations, the Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity. Engineer Hijazi stated: "Sidon highly values this generous Qatari support, which comes at a critical time. These valuable assistance packages, particularly the bedding and sleeping supplies, will significantly contribute to improving the living conditions of displaced families."
