The Disaster Risk and Crisis Management Unit at Sidon Municipality has issued a comprehensive statistical report documenting the displacement movement in the city during the period from 2 March to 9 June 2026

The data issued by the unit showed that the number of approved shelters in the city reached 25 centers, which received a total of 12,186 displaced people. The report indicated that there is a surplus in the current shelters’ capacity estimated at around 26.14%.

Regarding the humanitarian response and the provision of essential supplies, the figures showed advanced coverage rates as follows:

  • Food supplies: One meal per day was secured, achieving 100% coverage of food needs.

  • Children’s supplies: Coverage of children’s milk and diapers reached 100%.

  • Public hygiene: Hygiene supplies were secured with a coverage rate of 90.21%.

  • Basic needs: Coverage of other essential supplies and necessities reached 84.29%.

It is worth noting that this report was prepared and documented by the “Saida Urban Observatory (SAIDA URBAN OBSERVATORY)”, with the support and assistance of the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development.
