Health Minister Nasser Al-Din and MP Al-Bazri visit the Sidon Municipality operations room: Praise for the 'Sidon model' in managing the medicine and hospital care files

Sidon Mayor, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, welcomed at the municipal palace the Minister of Public Health, Mr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din, accompanied by Sidon MP Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bazri, with the presence of members of the municipal council, the operations room director, and the volunteer team.

Minister Nasser Al-Din was briefed on the progress of relief work for the displaced people hosted by the city. The discussion focused on the mechanisms for health coverage and ensuring the sustainability of medical services. The minister expressed his great admiration for what he observed, stating: "Today we witnessed high professionalism and exceptional expertise in managing the operations room at Sidon Municipality. I particularly highlight the medicine file and follow-up of hospital care, where the volunteer team works with outstanding scientific precision and organization to ensure that no treatment is interrupted for any displaced person, whether in shelters or homes. What I found in Sidon—a spirit of national unity and a welcoming environment—reflects the city's authenticity and the solidarity of its people, serving as a model for collaboration between the local community and the municipal authorities during times of crisis."

Sidon MP Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bazri emphasized after the meeting that "direct coordination with the Ministry of Health is essential to strengthen the municipality’s efforts, especially as we strive to improve efficiency."The response in the health and environmental fields aims to keep pace with the success achieved in hospitalization and medication matters and what follows, in addition, of course, to the need to provide first aid supplies within the shelters and all ambulances, and to support the efforts of the civil society through the clinics operating in the city.

For his part, Engineer Hijazi welcomed the visit of Minister Nasser Al-Din, Deputy Bazri, and the accompanying delegation, and said, "We extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency Minister Rakan Nasser Al-Din for this kind visit and for the support he showed for our efforts. The Ministry of Health's interest in enabling our medical facilities in Sidon is the main pillar that will allow us to continue performing our duty towards our people. We take pride in His Excellency’s recognition of our volunteer teams, and we affirm that Sidon will always remain the national embrace that unites all Lebanese people."
