Under the patronage and in the presence of MP Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri, and with the attendance of Sidon Mayor Eng. Mustafa Hijazi, Head of the Health Committee at Sidon Municipality Dr. Yasser Al-Za’atri, and members Rami Bashasha and Wael Kassab, the Municipality of Sidon distributed medicine packages provided by the Ministry of Public Health in support of the dispensaries and primary healthcare centers operating in the city.The meeting was attended by the Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at Sidon Municipality, Ms. Wafaa Shuaib; Head of the Health Committee at the Gathering of Civil Institutions, Hajj Hassan Abu Zeid; representatives of the Ministry of Public Health, Ms. Faten Mustafa and Mr. Hassan Youssef; along with members of the Health Committee at Sidon Municipality and directors and representatives of dispensaries and primary healthcare centers.Each of the fifteen institutions — Amel, Badri, Martyr Maarouf Saad, Al-Razi, Al-Bonyan, Hariri, Developmental Services, Al-Thiqa, Popular Aid, Al-Istijaba, Martyr Rashid Broom, Nazih Al-Bizri, Al-Hussein, Imam Ali, and Hikmat & Reda Al-Bizri — received a package of medicines that included treatments for chronic diseases, children’s medicines, pain relievers, ointments, allergy medications, nutritional supplements, and other essential and commonly used treatments.This distribution was based on an assessment of the medication needs of the mentioned institutions conducted by the Health Committee at Sidon Municipality and shared with the Ministry of Public Health.This initiative was made possible with the support of the Ministry and the close follow-up of MP Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri and the Municipality of Sidon, reflecting a shared commitment to the city’s leading role in healthcare, medical services, and treatment, as well as the vital role of dispensaries and primary healthcare centers in providing extensive services to a large number of patients from the city’s residents and guests amid these challenging circumstances.
