The Mayor of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, accompanied by several municipal council members, carried out an inspection tour of the site of the Israeli attack that targeted the 'Al-Zahraa Complex' in the city to assess the extent of the destruction and follow up on ongoing relief efforts. The delegation toured the vicinity of the targeted site, where they observed the severe damage inflicted on surrounding civil facilities, schools, and universities, which were directly affected by the blast's force. They also inspected residential buildings and apartments belonging to citizens in the surrounding area, which suffered large cracks and material damage. The municipal delegation was briefed by rescue teams on the operations of clearing debris and searching for survivors. In this context, Engineer Hijazi confirmed that the Sidon Municipality had mobilized its efforts since last night, sending a number of municipal heavy equipment and machinery to actively participate in rubble removal and facilitate the rescue teams' work. The mayor condemned the targeting of residential areas and civil facilities, stating, 'What we witnessed today in the complex and its surroundings is a blatant, barbaric aggression affecting the city and its educational and residential civil facilities, and it is nothing new for the Israeli enemy to strike indiscriminately.'The wall of all international covenants and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
