Sidon Municipality participates in the funeral of the 13 State Security martyrs who fell in the Israeli attack on Nabatieh Serail

The city of Sidon officially and popularly participated in the solemn ceremony honoring and bidding farewell to the 13 martyrs of the General Directorate of State Security, who were killed as a result of the treacherous Israeli aggression that targeted their center in Nabatieh's government headquarters while they were performing their national duty.

The courtyard of the Sidon government headquarters hosted the bodies of the martyrs wrapped in the Lebanese flag, where an official commemorative ceremony took place. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Sidon, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, the representative of the Minister of the Interior, Governor of the South Mr. Mansour Do, the Head of State Security, Major General Edgar Laundes, as well as political, military, religious, and social figures, alongside a large crowd of the martyrs' families and citizens.

On the sidelines of the procession, Sidon's Mayor, Engineer Mustafa Hijazi, said: "Today, Sidon is both sad and proud; sad for losing a group of the nation's finest youth, and proud to host these heroes in their final farewell. Targeting soldiers in their centers is a crime added to the record of Israeli aggression against Lebanese official and civilian institutions. We affirm Sidon Municipality's full support for the military and security institutions and the families of the martyrs in this great loss.
