Under the slogan “The Environment Brings Us Together,” the Municipality of Sidon invites the public to participate in a cleanup campaign on Zireh Island.

Within the framework of promoting environmental awareness and preserving the marine and natural resources of the city of Sidon, the Environment Committee of the Municipality of Sidon, chaired by Municipal Council Member Youssef Taameh, is organizing a cleanup campaign on Zireh Island.The campaign is held in cooperation with the Association for Human and Nature Development DPNA, and in partnership with the Sidon Civil Society Institutions Union, the Friends of Zireh Association, the Municipal Youth Council of Sidon (GMC), the Southern Region Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – South Coast Detachment, the Lebanese Red Cross, and Hayat Donner.The campaign aims to remove waste and debris from the island and its surroundings, preserve the marine environment and biodiversity, and promote a culture of volunteerism and community partnership in protecting this unique natural landmark.
